There are different coping strategies for common internal triggers other than using social media. In general, I would advise for activities that are meaningful and present low barriers. For example, reading books on the Kindle app, which syncs with my Kindle, is great as it is always available as an alternative to social media.

Here are some specific suggestions though, in case you often get any of these triggers:

Anxiety:

  • Breathing exercises: Deep, controlled breathing can have a calming effect on the mind and body.

  • Progressive muscle relaxation: This technique involves tensing and then releasing each muscle group in your body, which can help reduce physical symptoms of anxiety.
